So, when a truck plowed into a Christmas market in Berlin on Monday night, killing 12 people and wounding nearly 50 others, it came to no surprise that the German Police called the FBI to inquire about Samurai Hitman.
“You’re too late. That Party Animal is already dead,” FBI replied to their German Stasi counterpart.
“It cannot be,” the Germans persisted in their well-known intimidating way.
“We have pictures of Samurai Hitman in the truck.”
Indeed, the Internet was full of those pictures of the attacker. FBI contacted TPV ’cause we are known for finding clues in pictures. TPV recognized the ethnic resemblance due to unshaven facial hair. But nothing more. So, the FBI had to make the terrible call to the Germans:
“Guys, you need to keep looking. You have the wrong man.”
As it turns out, the FBI was correct. The German assassin was none other than Anis Amir, a 24-year-old Tunisian national.
“Wow! How did the Germans do it?” the FBI inquired.
TPV had the clue: They found Amri’s identity papers inside the cabin of the truck used in Monday’s attack.
Amazing investigative work. Who would have thought about looking into the glove compartment of a truck used to commit murder?
