On Wednesday, September 3, the French people starting reading a sad account about how a man who was never supposed to become anything more than the father of Segolene Royal’s children, became involved with some woman who was and remains a tabloid journalist and together they produced some sad and unsatisfying sex for almost a decade. Badly written.

On Friday, September 5, Valerie Trierweiler’s book sold more copies that Fifty Shades of Gray, partially because women’s porn sells better when it is marketed as political memoir.
On Saturday, September 6, de Blasio shat his pants in public and smeared the brown putrid content allover Andrew Cuomo at the Labor Day parade. Thank God, he did not shake hands with Teachout!
On Sunday, September 7, Serena Williams won her third consecutive US Open title. No one dared to ask her whether her steroids were Pfizer or Swiss-made, because no one wanted to be squashed like a bug in one of her tantrums.
On Monday, September 8, the White House emailed us a slide about the number of cars the United States still foolishly builds, despite the fact that the oil is scarce and to extent that there is some, it comes from ISIS-friendly countries.

On Tuesday, September 9, Cuomo and his cronies won another Democratic primary, which may explain why the Tea Party exists, because Progressives are barely encouraged to survive.
But Teachout-Wu rocked the Democratic establishment!

Thanks, TPV for helping my wife and I get the most bang for our voting buck – some times you have to go to the far end of the alphabet (ZT/ TW), to find the best candidates.
As for coverage. WNYC, who gave all interested candidates a platform to make their case, noted how close it turned out.
Cuomo didn’t participate but they did play a statement he’d made about how debates don’t always help democracy and can in fact hurt it…
NYT, which seemed to suggest we sit on our hands for the Gubernatorial primary (and for the general election… ? ), noted only that their non-choice, choice emerged victorious. (to be fair, I only read the NYT headline – but I’m guessing that’s where most Americans get most of their news / views, I’m guessing that’s what NYT is guessing, too.)
