In TPV land news exists for our entertainment, and here is what surprised us lately:

On Tuesday, December 6, Orthodox Christians got a nod from Father Christmas in the shape of the St. Nicholas Day celebration, which adds a bit of welcome festivity in the early days of Advent. This year, Father Nicholas brought some more bombing to Syrians, a permanent crisis to Greeks – who were already strangulated by the IMF -, and to Russians the warmest welcome from the West. Oops, the last was just fake news. The Cold War continues.

On Wednesday, December 7, the Donald said he would be the first president to use twitter as his morning intelligence briefings. TPV hopes that despite the man’s aversion of briefings no matter how brief, he will continue using his briefs in public.

On Thursday, December 8, the Donald dreamed a few more names for his administration and spat them out to the media. The nation blushed and wondered how much we really hated the Clintons.

On Friday, December 9, filmmaker Michael Moore predicted come January 20th, there would be no sane people behind the electoral college to vote for the Donald and the insane ones would be less than 270, the number needed to become president.

Gosh, the Donald makes Hillary look like Mother Theresa even if she steals all my money, and dignity, which I know she will. So, Amen, Michael, Bill’s gambit might just win: Donald is the only person who could possibly make Hillary look decent.

On Saturday, December 10, Madonna became the Billboard Woman of the Year and accepting her award said a lot of sad things and tons of nonsense. TPV liked her best when she said that

aging is a sin with implants.

Personally, TPV prefers aging wisely, and when that’s not an option then beautifully.

On Sunday, December 11, the Golden Globe contestants were announced by the United Colors of Benetton.

On Monday, December 12,  finally someone woke up to shout out in disbelief:

Exxon’s CEO for Secretary of State? A Labor Secretary who wants to cut wages? A Goldman Sachs banker to run our economy? A climate denier for EPA Chair?

Yeah, and it’s not yet Christmas!
