Jerome Ellis — here in a photo by Hollis King — is a composer and performer. He composes concert pieces for piano, live electronic psychedelic dance suites, ambient pieces for the saxophone, and theater scores. He’s performed his own music at numerous NYC venues, such as Columbia University’s concert halls and WKCR radio station, HERE Arts Center, The Tank, 5C Jazz in the East Village, and numerous Fresh Ground Pepper events. He’s composed and performed musical scores for theater directors Andrew Scoville, Sanaz Ghajarrahimi, and James Monaco.
