Every day brings out reasons to celebrate the free world. Here is another one, as told by a nice Christian man, Jayse D Anspach.
Jayse was ready to return to Louisville on Sunday evening, taking a United flight from Chicago. He was ready to relax and take a nap, when the cabin entertainment started.
Oops, not that entertainment. A different one. Apparently, United needed to fly his own personnel to Louisville. But there were no free seats. It asked for volunteers. But no one volunteered.
“So United decided to choose for us”, Jayse tweets.” They chose a 59-year old Asian doctor and his wife.”
“It did not matter that the doctor needed to work at the hospital the next day.”
Sadly, ten minutes later, the doctor runs back into the plane with a bloody face, clings to a post in the back, chanting, “I need to go home.”
On a brighter note, United C.E.O. Munoz promised to make things right with the doctor.
Thank you, United. I feel much better now if you decide to pummel my face next time I fly with you.
