Sir Paul McCartney has decided to move on from his feud with John Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono and insists he no longer blames her for breaking up The Beatles. In an interview for The Rolling Stone Magazine, Sir Paul, as his family members refer to the ex-Beatle said:
- If John loved her or at least married her, and made her the mother of his second child, then who am I to question their history? To say that it bugged us all when she did not let John move an inch without her is a different thing. That’s history too, but who needs to talk about all the facts when recounting history? Or who needs it when you’re 64, going on 71?
Everybody agreed that Sir Paul was very magnanimous. Yoko Ono too sent him white roses and a check representing a percentage of her royalties, earned in large part to the incessant publicity Paul’s public resentment had created:
- Yoko Who? John Lennon’s. Oh, you mean Paul’s badass Yoko.
