Nahid Hattar, a Jordanian writer, was murdered outside the court where he was facing charges for insulting Islam. His life has been one of opposing sanctimony. Once he denounced the Jordanian royal family for being different than what they appeared to be: for being Saudis. Now, he denounced religious fundamentalism mumbling as if it were political orthodoxy.
Unfortunately, such feat is only allowed once in a lifetime.
Until Islam demystifies its image for the masses, TPV can only say, RIP, Nahid, brave man!
