I discovered late in my life that being Jewish is beautiful. Until then I thought that it was just my reflection in the mirror I admired. With the same state of mind I looked at a recent picture of Sheldon Adelson but the result was not muted admiration. I was scared. Arguably the most vocal member of the American pro-Israel lobby is a gaming tycoon. Or, using plain words to avoid him being confused with a Dick Cheney type of game and wild bird aficionado, . For Republicans, Adelson is a successful business magnate. For me he is a heartless man who lures aged people to Las Vegas under the false pretense it is Venice and watches them waste away their pensions.
Dear Mitt, from a dispassionate non-voter to a dispassionate presidential candidate, do you really want this man to be the face of your pro-Israeli stance?
