The WeekholeView: Obama Wins Gold at the Olympic Sport “When in Doubt Lean Back on Your Skis”

Here, each hole starts on Wednesdays and this is what fell through this past week, in more than one way or day: :

On Wednesday, February 19, United States’ Ted Ligety won the gold medal in the men’s giant slalom in Krasnaya Polyana. He definitely leaned forward on his skis.

On Thursday, February 20, United States’ Maddie Bowman won gold in women’s ski halfpipe also in Russia, somehow near its western border with Ukraine. She also leaned forward on her skis.

Friday, February 21, the hotels in Sochi were finally open for the season.

What season, asked the residents? The Olympics are closing in two days.

On Saturday, February 22, Putin met with his Chechen friends over a glass of vodka.

On Sunday, February 23, the Ukrainian Rapunzel toppled her tower and went outside to greet her people only to discover they were going to be locked up in the newly emptied tower.

On Monday, February 24, our CIA mission in Venezuela emailed the major US newspapers images about the civil war our money is trying to buy us there.

On Tuesday, February 25, 2014, John Lewis Gaddis, a Yale Bush-man, unconventionally lauded the current man in the White House by stating:

I just think [President Obama] is not going to lean forward on his skis with regard to promoting wars labeled democratic. He is no Bush.

Thank you Mr. President, and Thank God there are not that many Bush left to run.

  1. Are you not counting the girls? not that many Bush left to run?

PS. Of course I have no idea, just wanted to make a phrase with “bush” and “girls.”

  2. Nice week hole…also in Russia, somehow near its western border with Ukraine. (very nice)

  3. I was thinking Princess Leia but I guess if you unraveled those things: Ukrainian Rapunzel
