Made in NYC. TPV Noted. It’s Almost Winter in …Brazil

Shopping at Bloomingdale’s is such a cosmopolitan event. Or at least geographically diverse.

In May, Bloomingdale’s sells goose down-filled coats and vests and anything else you want. I am not talking about marked down winter clothes. The price was not marked down.

It could be waiting to be marked down.

Yes, but why the prominent display?

Mermaids with goggles and down vests in May.

It makes sense. Each country has some people who can fly and shop everywhere. This includes South America.

So, here you have it Brazil: mermaids with goose-down vests for the shopper in you!

  1. Another benefit from the global economy, I got how businesses were now able to get things made as cheaply as inhumanly possible – but I never saw this, with the global change of seasons, if the store is high end enough to attract “shopping tourism” (and what other kind is there, even “medical tourism” is basically… ) everything is always in season.

  2. Not being in the shopping tourism class, I thought those white jackets were some kind of double six pack .
