Here in TPV land news falls through many cracks and though one big hole, the TrumpHole:

Saturday, May 13, Washington was still coming up to grips with President Trump having fired the director of the F.B.I., James B. Comey. By doing so, Trump abruptly terminated the top official leading a criminal investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government to steer the outcome of the 2016 presidential election.

On Sunday, May 14, Washington was wondering

What idiot could have influenced Trump to fire his accuser in chief? At most he got himself enough time for a getaway, but a presidency lasts 4 years. Was it Rod J. Rosenstein?

On Monday, May 15, Jared Kushner, the First-Son-in-Law, tried to ingratiate himself to Republican lawmakers and other arm sellers, by handling a $110 billion weapons sale to Saudi Arabia. While the price was not unprecedented, the Obama Administration sold them packages of $115 billion, the Saudis never had this access to the White House. No son-in-law with high security clearance had ever before sold arms to Saudis. But, as we say in the business,

“The Price Was Right.”

On Tuesday, May 16, Jared promised the Israelis a long-lasting piece of peace. Moments later, his father-in-law, D.T.,  was volunteering Israeli spy work product to the Russians.

On Wednesday, May 17, Rod J. Rosenstein gathered some strength and nominated the former F.B.I. Director Robert S. Muller III as his assistant to oversee the investigation Comey was fired from continuing.

Why would Rosenstein first suggest Comey’s firing and then nominate Comey’s predecessor to oversee Trump’s Russian collusion?

Probably to save his job, unless, Rosenstein was not the idiot to suggest Comey’s firing.

On Thursday, May 18, luckily something else happened in Washington, Roger E. Ailes died, and the Onion reported,

hundreds of miniature Sean Hannitys Burst From Roger Ailes’ Corpse.

On Friday, May 19, the fake news reported that Jared Kushner was the one with the bright idea to have Comey fired, which proves that one’s parents can bribe Harvard to hand their son a diploma, but that such a diploma usually does not signify anything more than one’s parents had to pay many a million of dollars instead of the regular $100,000 for the same piece of paper.

Stay tuned for what Jared will do next week! And he’s the bright one.
