Home Cracks in the Street Saturday with Sharia

Saturday with Sharia

Saturday, June 10, ACT, a conservative lobbying group called Act for America, organized what it called a nationwide “March Against Sharia” in some 19 states.

The March Against Sharia produced very small rallies and slightly bigger anti-rallies. Sharia is a legal and philosophical code derived from Islamic scripture and tended to guide observant Muslims.

Marchers stated that Sharia law and Muslim immigration is harming America.

But, surprise, surprise, the marchers turned out to support President Donald Trump. Judging by the size of the marches they looked as if they missed the invitation to Lara Trump (Eric’s wife)’s baby shower, which happened in a Trump Tower during the same time.

Here is a pro-Trump and anti Sharia march on a California beach. The high heels and the patriotic enthusiasm fit perfectly the ocean view.

At the opposite end of the union, in upstate New York, a few people also refused to stay home on Saturday. Instead, they filled both sides of the main street in Syracuse, NY, and engaged in a fashion staring contest.

The pro-Trump anti-Sharia side of the street wore a lot of military militia-style fatigues. On the other side of the street, dozens of protesters wore face masks and carried red and black protest flags.

This event was organized by a woman, who described herself as a Jewish woman who believed that Muslim Sharia practices could be a real threat to American society. When asked to be more specific, she couldn’t point to any examples of it actually being implemented in the country right now.

“Well, not yet, but we make sure that we’re guarding against it. We want to make sure that the radical Islamist ideology did not hijack the peaceful Muslims here in this country,” the organizer was quoted on NPR.

For as long as they pretended the march was about Sharia, American Folger coffee (a.k.a undrinkable) was served. When the protesters agreed that the ACT march was a pro-Trump march, words were spoken. The ralliers agreed that they wanted to show support for the President’s anti- Muslim refugees and anti-immigrants agenda.

“Donald Trump is the man who will hold the line. We support him. The President Trump is the country’s savior,” the ACT march organizer added.

While this lady from Syracuse and her few friends enjoy their last Social Security checks from previous administrations, TPV hopes they know they are never going to make it to a Trump baby shower. On the bright side,  they may be considered for the underpaid job to clean the space afterwards.
