An American Vigilante Story

Chris Simcox, the former leader of the Minuteman border vigilante group, was sentenced to 19.5 years in prison Monday, bringing an end to a sex-abuse case involving two girls under 10.

Christopher Allen Simcox represented himself in the case arguing that he was more articulated than some bountiful 5-year old future woman. The 55-year-old Simcox was acquitted on another, more serious sexual conduct charge with another young girl, but much too old for him, a 6-year old. That would have carried a mandatory life sentence, but it would have required him to do something he hadn’t been able to do for ages.

“Prosecutors said Simcox preyed on the 5-year-old girl, who was the friend of one of his daughters, during scheduled parental visits with his children. He also showed the victim explicit films, prosecutors said,” according to Reuters.

TPV sent him a letter, because we often do. It said,

Dear Mr. Simcox (really?):

We don't know what to say except we understand that this is about protecting the children. First, you watched those rapists the Mexicans are sending taking from Americans what is rightfully ours, and Maurice Chevalier's, little girls.  Then, you thought you could do something about it, and it turned out you just couldn't.

This is just too much for one single man. Mr. Cox, if you don't mind the diminutive. TPV suggests you scale down or switch to dolls. If you want the Chinese may send you a doll looking exactly like the little girl you prayed on. Now, that you will have the time, you may even collect them.

Hatefully yours,

TPV.

That was yesterday, after the sentencing hearing. Today, Mr. Cox (he just got rid of Sim) replied:

“Dear TPV,

Kind of you to write to a failed rapist. I hate failure. Anyway, I have been a kindergarten teacher until I wasn’t. But I have always watched all those Mexicans come here, across the border, day and night. And you are wrong TPV. None, not one single one ever tried to rape our little girls. Now, that was a government failure and God gave me the task to rectify it. The problem was the pornography. Too advanced for her age group.”

Wow. That’s a minuteman if you need one, America.
