Court Blocks Stop-and-Frisk Changes for New York Police

The Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit thinks it blocked stop-and-frisk changes for New York Police, but instead it fostered some unforeseen changes within its own ilk.

The much respected-by-Wall-Street federal court slammed Judge Shira A. Scheindlin, who had ordered NYPD stop the racial profiling of stop-and-frisk. The appellate panel used neutral language such as Judge Shira had violated a judicial code of conduct, rather than Wall Street was afraid of riots so the Sheindlin decision must go. If this decision smacks you of a banana republic judiciary, then stop reading. But, if you still believe in our Constitution go on, because as soon as the panel handed down the decision, Judge Shira became the object of the policy she had tried to stop.

As she left the courthouse, the judge was approached by the entire appellate panel. The three judges told Scheindlin to “get up against the wall and empty your pockets.” The blond dyed, well-dressed, rather slim and perfectly conserved judge, obviously confused, just froze. Faced with her lack of obedience, the appellate judges beat her mercilessly into a bloody heap on the floor. They then discovered a small copy of the Constitution in her pocket, said “Aha!” in unison, and walked out of the courthouse.

To help you visualize the event, TPV reposts the Rodney King’s beating tape used by training cops all over:
