TheWeekholeView: Guess Who’s Getting What

Here at TPV the week starts and ends randomly, but it always lasts 7 days. This is what fell through the hall within the last weekly increment.

Tuesday, February 9, the UN’s Working Group on Arbitrary Detention – which was established in 1991  made up of five legal experts from around the world — ruled that Wikileaks’ Julian Assange was viciously arbitrarily detained in London because he embarrassed various U.S. politicians. While other high profile complainants, including Washington Post journalist Jason Rezaian, had been released following the UN Panel’s decision: e.g., Rezaian by Iran last month; former pro-democracy President Mohamed Nasheed, by the Maldives last year, the UK government refused to do so:

“An allegation of rape against Julian is still outstanding and the girls complaining have not received their Goldman Sachs money yet, so while the money transaction is still going on, the UK is not going to forget its legal obligation to extradite Mr Assange to Syria,” a UK spokesperson said.

When the TPV corrected the destination “Sweden, nor Syria,” the spokesperson winked,

“Bro, it’s Washington, where they want him. Sweden, Syria, Serbia, Siberia, it does not matter what we say. It’s all a cover-up to protect our U.S. pimp.”

SuperbowlWednesday, February 10, the NYPD finally, after having missed Beyoncé’s Super bowl performance, listened to it and got it:

It was not meant for them.

Thursday, February 11, Bernie and Hill-Billy debated why she’s #HIStory.

Because she had nowhere to go.

Friday, February 12, the Republican wannabes debated why they were irrelevant clowns.

Because they could.

Saturday, February 13, upset he could not divulge his Valentine, again, though 79 years old, Justice Antonin Scalia died rather than repent for his choice of love .

FrigidSunday, February 14, a frigid Valentine’s Day kept New Yorkers quiet over the old man’s death.

Monday, February 15, 2016, President Obama started the nomination process to the US Supreme Court and Hill-Billy was on his short list.

  1. This was nice (esp. “winked”):

“An allegation of rape against Julian is still outstanding and the girls complaining have not received their Goldman Sachs money yet, so while the money transaction is still going on, the UK is not going to forget its legal obligation to extradite Mr Assange to Syria,” a UK spokesperson said.
When the TPV corrected the destination “Sweden, nor Syria,” the spokesperson winked,

    I thought this was great:

Monday, February 15, 2016, President Obama started the nomination process to the US Supreme Court and Hill-Billy was on his short list.
